Got this black pearl rear emblem to match. Still working on a front emblem solution. I currently just have it slightly tinted but I’m not satisfied with the way that looks. What have you guys done for your front emblems?

Blacked out the trim

IMO the blacked-out trim look looks good on some colors, others, welp it depends on if its black chrome as seen above a few posts...or if you just want to pull the aggressive look fwd a bit. With some colors IMO the chrome pops better and yes, is a bit more classy on some colors. MarLexPL's nebula grey(?) car looks pretty nice but I'd defer final judgment to in-person viewing rather than pics. I wouldn't want the blacked out trim on a black car. Not for me.

I've been saying to myself, something is just not right with the car. I couldn't figure it out until I saw this thread. I had a shop do a chrome delete on my doors and think it looks much much better now... the chrome was just out of place.

The blackout certainly goes with your rims and theme of the car.

While the black wheels wouldn't work for me (no offense, everybody's different); I'll gladly eat my words regarding the black trim with the black paint. Very cohesive! I'd lean towards doing the same thing. LIKE!

none taken at all. Since the car is very subtle in design I wanted a more aggressive look with the wheels and blacking out the chrome trim pieces completes the look for me. Anything else would be too much IMO. With the darker color theme, the calipers stand out a hell of a lot more which appeals to me as well.

Looking a little differen't won't be such a bad thing when the 2019 ES (which looks very similar IMO) hits the road.

I also believe that its somewhat dependent on the color... I tend to not like that chrome piece no matter what, especially on darker colors. Looks much better in white, if anything.

I fixed mine this way:

Wife's car next to mine. I think her color makes any chrome work better.

Mine was painted black chrome. I noticed your oils in the background. Amsoil oil for the win

Ha! Good catch, should have covered that portion of the picture.

Love the tone of black that you chose and the quality of the job. Great car by the way!
