Only a moron would tell you overfilling your oil is without severely damaging consequences. Ray Plumb told me many years ago all the factory CBR600s ran 1/2 quart low because it added 5 hp and prevented early failures...sheesh... the totally ignorant things people say on forums...
Do you really need to know who it is? I think you are oversimplifying it and really no need to call out another (race car) engine builder an idiot/moron LOL.

If you saying overfilling it by 2 plus quarts to where you submerge the crankshaft, yes it will damage your engine. So what I am talking about is an overfill of no more than 1 quart. So what are you saying? How much of an overfill will cause "severely damaging consequences" per your words? Any overfill?

As soon as oil in the pan touches a counterweight at any time it is a disaster.

I've not had the issue at Cerritos Lexus.. insofar as I know they have 2 techs that specialize in the F cars, at least whenever I go to make an appointment I am given a limited time frame that is dependent on when one of these 2 techs are available.

For those that had the overfill issue in California, which dealership? Is Lexus Westminster one of them? Just curious before I take my car there. Thanks.

As you can see my sig, I have 2014 F-Sport, not GSF.

When I took my car in for oil change in Lexus of Westminster, they said my car takes 7 quart oil and I thought it seem too much.
