Don't see a dedicated thread for this so I'll start one! I just ran the GSF at the track! Don't think I did too terribly for my first go round.

In the beginning, you can hear someone do a burnout and a bunch of rocks hit my car, this was after I got into the staging lane and they had me move back right behind the car doing a burnout because a mustang broke down in front of me.....

Timeslip, I'm on the right:

It looked like you were in Sport mode and not Sport+. Any reason? I'm not sure if the shifts are any quicker or just the AI g-force logic/etc between the modes.

Yea I bought mine to the track too and you need to put it in sport + mode and track mode for TVD. It makes a huge difference in turning and handling. Plus the gear shifts much quicker in sport +.

I'm about 99% certain I was in Sport+. I turned off traction control and set the TVD to track mode.

I'm not sure if shifts are quicker in sport vs sport + but I was in manual mode anyways. I believe that shift speed isn't different in any of the modes, correct me if I'm wrong?

Here's my timeslip back in the fall, I'm on the left. This was actually my very first run on the track ever (with this car or any other) and I never got a better time, go figure

Nice run! What settings did you run at? Manual? Sport+? Traction control?

What was your MPH? Curious to see how that would be in higher elevations.

Just ran at the track a couple hours ago and did a lot better than my first run. Ran it in auto mode with traction control off.

Also, when I saw my trap speed, I was pretty surprised that its about 3 mph higher than what review sites were running and 6 mph higher than what I did last fall..

Awesome run, you did it!
I couldn't break into the 12's. Need new tyres.

So, after reading all of the posts and watching all of your videos, I only have 2 questions:

Did each of you do a burnout before the run?

If so, will one of you tell me the secret to this?!

I've watched countless videos and read all about the "pedal dance" but still can't disable TC to allow me to do a burnout! Very annoying. 😤

If you are in the ATL area, come by my house and I'll show you how to make the pedal dance work. It's really not hard once you get it done the first time. It works every time for me, the biggest trick is you have to have the seat belt on. If you leave it off, it will never work.

Haven’t been able to go to the track just yet with the Covid19 closings. But I have a dragy and tried giving it a go last night just to see what the car would do.
