I’d agree it’s not an update but disagree that it is a downgrade, I think it’s a compromise, you lose some braking performance but you gain a reduction in brake dust and potential noise (in my case the noise was horrible no matter how much I washed them and dealership inspected them and found no issues). I’ve had them swapped now for over half a year and the decrease in braking performance isn’t a problem for me through multiple trips to the drag strip in the summer and driving in snow multiple times this winter. Where you really notice it is when having to brake hard, the brakes feel soft.

I can see why people would be so split on these though because the sharp braking performance from the stock pads was a great feeling.
