Default What oil do you use?

I searched this forum and didn't see any topic about oil.

About to do an oil change for my car despite the fact my first oil change is free. I like to do my own maintenance.

I've owned several Vipers and Cobras and have used Royal Purple, plus I get it really cheap due to being able to buy it less than what Mobil 1 would cost me. So I was thinking of using Synthetic Royal Purple even though the manual says conventional but wanted to see what other owners are using.

What oil are you guys using?

Would like some input on what oil, people who track the car regularly, use. As I'm certain daily driven cars with no track use could use any type of oil, Dino or synthetic and be completely fine..

I am also interested on everyone's opinion on the oil.

i used Mobil 1, then Royal Purple.

With the larger engine of the GSF I am thinking of upgrading to either Eneos or liqui moli special tec aa.

Does anyone have any experiences with Eneos or Liqui Moli? Thanks

I'll be using Mobil 1. I am sure it's more than adequate enough for an NA engine.

Hmm I see. So for NA engines we actually don't need top end oil?

I used Royal Purple for my wife's Audi TTs and I swear it drives better then the mobil 1

I run AMSOIL with WIX filters, just because I get it all for cheap cheap

I've used them on every car I own, boosted or N/A and I've never had a problem.

Use what you think works for you. I use Shell Rotella T6 on my built GTR just because that's what my engine builder recommends using. Stock GTR's do just fine with Mobil 1.
