Having a hard time finding a set of rear brake pads for the GSF. Any recommendations beside oem and where can I get them.
Apreciate it and thanks!

What's wrong with the OEM pad? It's a pretty good pad and I've read it holds up well to hard driving...

I think he is asking for recommendation for pads that are BETTER in performance than the stock pads.

Hmm, Ok, not sure on that, I just assumed he didn't want to spend the money on Lexus parts, especially since they were rear pads.

People buy for different reasons: Cheaper, better, quieter etc. OP needs to specify.

Thanks guys for chiming in. Decent on price and less dust. Most place only have the fronts. The oems are pricey and really puts out a lot of brake dust.

I just got a set of front and rear Project Mu pads. Installation was straightforward with OEM-like fit and significantly less dust than stock pads. I picked them up from SpeedFreaks...you can see their special on the pads in the GSF Vendor section.

I’ve been running Project Mu pads on my ISF for years and have been very happy with them. Definitely not a track pad, but good for street use with no noise and less dust. Also, a friend of mine runs Carbotech ceramics on his RCF and he loves those, so another good option.

Good luck...

I think I prefer the ceramic pads for less dust but will go with the upgraded shims and hope for the best. Not quite ready yet with 30K on fronts but the squealing is so so so annoying.

I had the brakes put on near the end of October in 2019. Mileage was around 92K on my 2013 GS F Sport. They started squealing regularly again during our (Los Angeles) winter when it got cold so nowhere around December 2020 I think. Mileage is a little over 101k.

Lexus will swap to ceramic pads at no cost. I had this done recently at my dealer. I didn't need performance pads and I wanted less dust and squealing.

At around 6 weeks, the squealing is gone, but the dust seems to still be an issue but maybe to a lesser degree. YMMV.

edit: just looked at my work order. Looks like it is LSB-001316 for the brake pad swap.

I am probably just going to live with the occasional squeal and annoying break dust for now. Once the OEM pads are done, definitely going with Tom's Racing pads on all four wheels.

on youtube bulletsgsf he swapped out to toms brake pads which he stated low brake noise and low brake dust, hes very happy with them. You can order them with Steven Tran from Mod in Japan or Apexi Usa, they are distributors for TOMS
