Default GSF Production numbers

Does anyone know the 16-18 production numbers? I’m mostly interested in US numbers. Just curious to know how much Lexus cut back production after the first year, assuming that’s the case.

I'm curious as well. If you click on "Vehicle Specifications" at this site you will find numbers for the 2015-2016 RC F and 2016 GS F. The other years haven't been updated yet for some reason. I suspect 2017 numbers are nearly <1/2 of 2016 numbers

Good gracious just looked at the RCF numbers and production from 15 to 16 dropped from just under 3000 to 842. That can’t be right or that’s just horrible for Lexus.

Car manufacturers react to the market. If they had trouble selling 3k in its debut year, why on earth would they make the same or more the following years only to be stuck with them or take massive losses.

I was told by a Lexus sales guy that in 2017, they stopped premanufacturing and went to made-to-order. Both for RCF and GSF.

Agreed! I'm just referring to the over 200% decline in sales in a year! Of course they would have to adjust production to accommodate. I'm sure they did the same for the GSF in '17 after '16s presumed disappointing sales and why I asked for production numbers.

False; my 18 was dealer stock. They continue to have 1 GS F and two-three RCFs in stock most months. This is the LA market though so it could be an outlier.

Just an FYI, these are IS-F production numbers for all years. So the huge drop off is typical for the very niche F models.

GSF Production numbers-zroxbcz.jpg

I would expect similar for the GS and RC

Thats definitely the case for the RC per info provided above. Suspect the same for GSF.

There's nothing to fear from those statistics and numbers

Every manufacturer had a volatile sales figures when introducing their performance ranges.

it took bmw and Mercedes decades to stabilise production numbers on their cars.

Crazy numbers. Whats even crazier is that Lexus knew these numbers and kept the same engine and brought it to the GS and RC and tried to sell it for even more....

is this just the US or International? If I recall, Lexus sold just north of 2k units worldwide.
