Default What should I offer brand new 2017

sticker $88k. Given that it’s going to be 3 model years old in a few month, how much should I offer? Also the GS line will be discountinued, and highly doubt it’s a collectible item...
I will be flying out and driving back, so factor in another 6-800 in cost.
dealer seem desperate to sell, since it’s been sitting and they bought the vehicle already.

For reference, I bought a brand new 2015 RCF in Feb 2016 for 20% off. Shooting over 30% realistic?

Although miles play a small part, MAYBE .25 cents each, its still a 3 year old car. Selling it back to the dealer after taking delivery, will be lucky if they offer mid 50s. 3 year lease return residuals on those are 52%

Lowest I’ve seen is $65K. Ive received offers for $68K and $69K. I would offer $65K and see what happens. If they’re serious about moving it they’ll counter.

Like crazy said, 69 is the lowest anyone will go, I called about 10 dealers nationwide.

Not sure how it being an older model (Despite being brand new with no miles) warrants a steep price cut. That's just me though, everyone else has their reasons!

I think 70k is realistic and reasonable and at that price point, it is a good deal.

this dealer already offered 67k without any negotiation.. might have to re-evaluate your negotiation skills on an aged vehicle

of course it does. It’s called depreciation. If I pay your $70k price and turn around and sell it back to that dealer the next day, I would be lucky to get mid 50s for it trade in. Btw I’m not pulling numbers out of my a$$. I have access to auctions, and that’s what they are going for.

Also after reading hundreds of posts of price paid thread, buyers were able to pay 64-66k for a brand new 2016 unit in the late 2016 and beginning of 2017. The GS line is being discountnued next year, and it’s far from a collectible

Well, it seems I was off by $1,000.00.
Now, let us see how much you can negotiate it to. Remember, it is a 3 MY old car.

Every car that I have purchased brand new in the past 10 years have depreciated by at least 10% as soon as I drive off the lot. I understand depreciation but it is still a brand new car regardless. I could see 20% being reasonable giving that it has been sitting for a while on a lot.

I bought my 2017 GSF last November for $70k and that included the $8k rebate that they were offering. The part that most people forget to put down is that those prices that they paid included the $10k and $8k rebates. Also, a lot of people were getting additional rebates for attending the track event. So essentially, people were able to combine the manufacturer rebate and the track event rebate to get the GSF in the mid 60's.

I would suggest waiting a couple months for the GSF rebate because I bet that there will be another one. That is when dealers will be more willing to negotiate I bet.

You should negotiate with the dealer and not forum goers..just my 2 cents. And frankly, there is already a thread for this discussion which you claimed to have read. Not sure why you would expect different answers here in a different thread from the same people replying to the sticky thread.

Haha I think you are not getting the answers that you thought you were going to get. Go ahead and offer 70% if you think that is what the car is worth. Worst they can say is no.

My 35k mile 2016 GSF with hail damage history was offered $55,000 for dealer trade-in a couple of weeks ago when I went to look at the LC for reference.
