Recently picked up a 2016 GSF. Been in the Lexus world for about 18 years and finally have what i consider to be my dream car. Been reading up in this forum and ordered some 20mm spacers front and rear, and an aFe Takeda intake. Windows were tinted prior to buying it, and the front was wrapped in a clear bra. Ill probably tint the front windows, and thats about it. Can't lower it, because it wont fit up my driveway. Would love an exhaust, but any axleback is too expensive, i imagine because they didnt make enough of these cars. Anyway, hi!
Yes sir, 2016 there was only a total of 1,418; the later years dont really matter since 16s are the only ones with non-adaptive suspension (big plus IMO)
The tanabe isnt too loud by any means, other than the GLORIOUS cold start. It does pop here and there occasionally. It really brings out the V8 rumble and tone without being obnoxious. There is some initial drone during the break in period, but it does subside. Other than that you can drive the car on the highway and not even know there is an aftermarket exhaust installed, but when you romp it its like "YEEEEEEEEER WHATS GOING ON?! PAAAAAAAARTY".
Best way to describe it is that the car truly has the tone that the ASC pumps through the rear speakers in Sport +
The aFe intake got installed tonight, sounds pretty nice. Wheel spacers showed up, but not installed yet. Ill have to wait and see if i can find a used exhaust one of these days...
Congrats/!! I remember your screen name for many years.. You had an IS250.. The GS-F is such an amazing car.. Definitely my dream car as well..
Ive come a long way since the IS days. First Lexus was a 98 GS400... slowly moved up until i got this. It's definitely a dream come true. Not going to take it for granted.
