Made Me Sick

He is a member on here, gsfdream. I hate when things get re-hosted and shared, he uploaded this on his own YouTube channel - Bullets Garage.
The car is already at the body shop and needs new door skin, rocker panel, and CF side skirt. Definitely a lesson learned, he already purchased a new and more robust jack and learned from the experience.

It hurt so much to hear that crunch. I have to give him props for posting this, he obviously knew it would be sent around the internet but maybe not as much as it has - This has been posted multiple times in almost every car facebook group and instagram group chat I'm in. In the least this will hopefully help a few others learn from his mistakes rather than repeating them themselves.

Sorry to say but he had it coming. Upon closer look at the original on YouTube, it is apparent two pucks were stacked up to lift the car.
Based on the positioning, the pinch weld was also not used. The jack did not fail. The user did.

The hockey pucks were to make the jack work, because it wasn't low-profile enough to contact the jack pad without hitting the side skirt. The top hockey puck slid off, causing everything to crash down onto the jack (which had no clearance). Very unfortunate but definitely a learning experience for him and hopefully others, like me.
