Apple Play for GSF
Hi guys, just wanted to check if anybody has tried Beat-Sonic Apply Play product. They claim they can install Apple Play using OEM infotainment system and they were supposed to release it in mid 2016?
The url for the product on their site is http://www.beatsonicusa.com/blog/?p=48. I did a search on their site but could not find anything currently.
I did send them to ask about the product, and if it was released, in addition to certain particulars, but I thought to ask if anybody tried their product before or knows anything about it.
Thanks.

If you look at the following website, they support only 2018-2019 Lexus GS F. Maybe it has something to do with the Navigation system/Infotainment version? Someone please chime in here but according to differences between 2016-2019 I don't see any infotainment differences (newer refreshed version)?

Nevermind, it looks like they do support 2016-2017 Lexus GS F but you have to get additional GPS harness?
"2015-2017 Lexus GS350, GS450h, GS F + $20 for additional GPS harness +$20.00"

Hi again guys, just to update you, I received the following reply from Beat-Sonic;
"Apple CarPlay will be available for purchase in about 2 months but the price has not been determined. (will be under $500)
It's a hardware-installed kit and it will be connected behind the head unit. "
This is the only information I got, but they promised to let me know once it is out.

Just an update guys, the following is a response from Best-Sonic that the installation can be DIY.
"Installing an Apple CarPlay is fairly easy that you may not need help from a professional and we probably will be making a video-based DIY installation video in the near future."
They also promised to let me know when it will be released.

Beat-Sonic Apple Carplay on my 2018 GSF
Hey guys, just an update to this thread, I just installed the Beat-Sonic Apply Carplay on my 2018 GSF, and it works great.
All functions on Apple Carplay work perfect using the car's infotainment controls, and also all the original functions on my GSF Infotainment system work too.
The product is top notch; plug and play. I'm the only Lexus GSF in Saudi with an Apple Carplay as far as I know currently.
I was afraid to do it my self; therefore I took it to a place, here in Riyadh, called Balal Store, which they did an excellent job and a big thanks to them.
Below are pics and a link to a video demonstrating the Beat-Sonic Apple Carplay.

They have a special price now for $499, which what I paid, and lucky for me, because I was the first car to install it in Riyadh, installation was for free. The actual price of the product is $599.
To be honest, it is worth it, and works fantastic, specially that Lexus is not having any update for our cars.
