Hey Guys, any issues with going 255/35/19 tires all round (square setup) on stock 19x9 fronts and stock 19x10 rears on GSF?
Essentially will I have any problems putting 255/35/19's on rear 19x10 wheels as a winter setup?
I asked Tire Rack and Discount Tire Reps:
First Tire Rack first rep said no issues at all, and won't void their road hazard warranty.
2nd Tire Rack said, rep said it's OK on most cars, but NOT ON GSF (not sure why- but now allowed by Tire Rack computer)
Discount Tire Direct rep said 255/35/19 rear is a little smaller than they would recommend, but no issues at all as long as load rating is enough on tire, and it wouldn't void their road hazard
I've never had to do any plus sizing or minus sizing (in this case), would appreciate the input and maybe some clarification.

Whole point of thread is I may have ot install atlernate size tires on stock rims:
Thinking of going with :
235/40/19 fronts
255/40/19 rear
Tires will be a little taller. anyone here install this tire size and can confirm no rub or any other issues?
Thanks

Agree, it will work, but stretched. I'd go with the stock sizes. There are snow tire options that will work on the car with stock aspect ratio and width or 255 F/R. You may not be able to get the same load rating, but that is probably acceptable with higher tire pressure and depends on your usage. Check Discount Tire. Where in NJ are you?

Yeah I wanted to get the Nokian Hakkapeliita R3 but no availability for the rears 275/35/19.
I know the Michelin and Pirelli winter tires are available in the stock fronts and rears but I've heard the Nokian is a better winter tire.
It's just for winter so the stretched look is irrelevant; I care more bout functionality for a few months.

Any 255 on a 10" rim is not going to be supported by the manufacturer. 9.5" is as wide as they recommend for a 255. If you really want to do this, see if they have an XL rated tire and use that instead of a standard rated tire. It will perform better when stretched a little on a 10" rim. Also remember the rolling diameters are always with the tire on the recommended width rim. Stretching will make the diameter a little less.
