Default Carbon Fiber Mud Guards

Has anyone found a new vendor for these? I only see possibly John Perez, but he seems notorious for scamming on multiple forums.

I do see a set on eBay, but $500 seems steep for something like this.

(If anyone has a set for sale, I'd be open to it too)

Thanks!

John Perez is very slow. Use PayPal, and stay in touch with him with multiple calls for him to complete your order. Be ready to file a PayPal claim for refund. You have 180 days from the transaction date to initiate a dispute on a transaction, 20 days to come to a resolution with the seller. PayPal will refund you within 30 days.

That is definitely last resort, if I didn't find him on multiple other forums scamming people, I might actually take the gamble.

Some idiot on eBay trying to sell them for $1500, lol

I got mine for free from John Perez, I paid, he kept making excuses, I filed a claim, he eventually shipped it, but paypal already decided the case in my favor, by the time it arrive. 2 weeks turned into 3 months.

I might give it a shot, but cover all my bases.

That eBay posting was initially at $500, but I kept offering him lower lol

The guy who makes it sells for $185. I don't understand how he runs a business like this, just lies till you dispute the charge. The product itself is excellent.

I think for $1k AT THE MOST you can just get them custom made from any reputable vendor who can do these types of things...

$1k is crazy you can literally get this cut from a flat sheet of carbon fiber. I think I provoked the price increase, I offered him $25 lol.

I also used john perez and got mine for free because i got so fed up with his bs excuses. unreal, never dealt with anything like that. I disputed and PayPal ruled in my favor and he finally shipped. i believe on instagram a different vendor made them I can't remember the vendor name unfortunately, but i think it was Slick Carbon. look up that IG handle and PM him. the quality of the guards were phenomenal, however it may be worth a shot trying Elvin carbon fiber or slick carbon. Stay away from John Perez at all costs IMHO.

$1k is already ridiculous, let alone $3k.

Can't you just get a piece of plastic, cut it to whatever shape you want, and then wrap it with vinyl wrap with whatever carbon fiber effect you like?? $3k for this stupid crap is mind blowing.

I say take your chances with John Perez, but don't give him much excuse time, then file a dispute when it passes the deadline. Seems like that is the only way to get him to ship the product. Then in the end you might even get it for free like I did. If you don't use paypal just file a charge back with your credit card.

Thats what i did...Designed my own templates, then fabricated from universal mudguards. Left them naked. $20 and about an hr of cutting/shaping...
