Default GSF vs Supra

Would you guys ever consider trading in your GS-F in for a supra? Do you guys think that they will hold their value as good as our cars in the long run? interested to see what some of your thoughts are on this. Would you make the switch?
Saw one driving around today and thought it looks really nice, interested to see how they drive but i do not know if Toyota is letting people drive them off the lots.

Supra:
  • 3.0L twin-scroll single-turbo DOHC 24-valve inline 6-cylinder. 335 HP - 365 lb-ft torque
  • Front-engine, Rear-Wheel Drive (RWD)
  • 8-Speed AT with paddle shifters.
  • 19-in. forged-aluminum twin-spoke wheels with dual-tone finish.
  • BremboŽ 56 4-piston ventilated disc brakes (front)
GS F
  • 5.0 L V8 NA Engine 467 hp 389 lb-ft of torque
  • Front-engine, Rear-Wheel Drive (RWD)
  • 8-Speed AT with paddle shifters.
  • 19-in. BBS Forged WHeels
  • Brembo Brakes

All the reviews are great for the Supra. I haven't had the opportunity to test drive one.

A lot of this will come down to your needs. For me personally, I needed a car that could do everything well - 4 doors and enough back seat to for adults, comfortable daily, trackable and fun. Coming from highly modified STI 600+ whp, one thing I really enjoy about the GSF (besides it's better durability) is the NA V8 and it's linearity and sound.

If I could have a second play car, Supra or a used GTR would be a great choice. Although, I'd probably wait on the Supra because based off of the Doug Demuro review, Toyota wil likely be making higher level trim Supras that offer more performance.

Not yet time to buy a MkV Supra. Too many teething issues. Besides, I already have a MkIV.

This is kind of like comparing apples to pomegranates.

Two WAY different cars, platforms, markets, and performance levels.

Most people own a GSF because you get reliable performance AND the practicality. I cannot tell you how often now I have 3-4 people in my car on a weekly basis.

I agree.

I need 4 doors (car seats) and trunk space, for you know, important stuff like a couple of golf bags

Same here, two very different vehicles that serve different purposes. Wouldn't trade the GS-F for a Supra, but I'd consider it as an extra/2-door fun car... however I'd probably be more inclined towards a GTR or C7 Z06.
