Aston Martin vs GS F
Hello all! I thought I would share the experience I had an hour or so ago since it was so much fun.
I was driving in the fast lane on I-95 South in Virginia on my way to Richmond when I noticed what looked like a high-end performance car. It was dark outside and I had some new contact lenses (maybe not the best time to be testing) in so it was hard for me to tell the brand/model. I got behind him after some time and noticed I had a slightly hard time keeping up with him (still hard to see what type of car it was), something that seldom occurs when driving a GS F. I switched to Sport+, changed the TVD to track, and brought into 5th gear which made it easier to stay on him. Eventually I was able to get in the middle lane and confirm it was an Aston Martin. I am not sure of the model but it looked a little older, maybe around 2010-2014 or so? Anyway, as I glided past him going 85 or 90 mph (minimal traffic this time of night), I noticed he entered the middle lane as well and was keeping up. We eventually moved over into the left lane and I brought it up to around 110 mph -- he was still following no sweat. We kept that pace up for a little before coming upon a pack of cars where we slowed down to a more tame 80 mph or so. We continued this so called "song and dance" for quite some time, taking turns following and leading. Top speed was around 130 mph -- it was a great time, made the drive go by quickly for me, and of course shaved 10-15 minutes off of my ETA! We split ways when I got off at my Richmond exit and he continued on in the Norfolk direction. I was going to flash my brights before my exit to say goodbye but a slow person got in between us and I didn't get the chance...
It was a fun experience and it was nice to confirm that the GS F has no problem keeping up with the big boys of the car world.
