Trackday readout; Road Atlanta
#16
Figured I'd update this thread as it's been almost a year since my first visit to RA with the GS-F and I've worked out some kinks from my first outing.
Since the original post, I've replaced my tires for Bridgestone RE-71R at 265 front, 285 rears. I've also added Figs UCAs and Rear Camber arms, and most recently at set of RR Racing R&T Coilovers.
The RE-71Rs have been awesome, providing grip, confidence, and no sidewall rollover issues whatsoever. Today was my 4th visit to RA since the tires (3.5 really since one day was wet/slow and I skipped half the sessions), but also the warmest. I've also done a day at AMP on this set of tires, and about 3000 miles of street and spirited mountain driving. This was my first trackday altogether on the coilovers.
TL, DR: shaved ~7 seconds from first visit with a 1:40.45 lap
Such a great car to drive on the track... You feel the weight, specially under hard braking (going into T1 and T10), but it's connected and informative, never misbehaving out of the blue.
