Default Novel exhaust system and a comparative alternative

Hi all,

I’m considering an exhaust setup and I came across the novel exhaust system. While it’s very nice, a price tag of $13-14k is out of the question for me.

Does this system sound much more higher pitched like the LFA and F1 exhaust systems? Are there any alternatives that sound similar with no drone? Thanks

I have not heard any of the available exhausts, including the novel to sound anything even close to the lfa,

watched all these videos, don't get me wrong, I love the sound of the full novel exhaust, but its definitely a v8 sound. The lfa v10 sound is so distinctive, it sounds like nothing else

I’m looking for a higher pitched lfa “like” sound. I’m not looking for an exact lfa sounding exhaust system.

Does anyone know of any exhaust setup that would have such a sound output?

The Novel system is the only exhaust I am aware of that will give you the sound you are after.

You could try to find videos of people who have just installed the headers and a different exhaust. Just my humble opinion but I think the novel headers have the biggest influence in the sound.

Thanks guys. Yes your right about the headers. I’m wondering what combo of headers and mufflers would work.

Scratch that idea...I just looked up how much the Novel headers are...$6k!

I like the sound of this! It’s something I’m going to consider. I’m still in sticker shock at the novel pricing though.

They know what they have and have priced it that way on purpose.
You may or may not agree, but hey.... they're Japanese. Whoever said they are cheap. LOL

Do you guys know if anything else sounds similar to the Novel headers or exhaust?

Hey,

We can do PPE Equal length headers - about $2800
GTHAUS midpipe - about $1800
Tanabe axle back - about $800

We can mix match different components but that is probably the closest you will get to that sound.

Feel free to message me for more information and better pricing.

-Josh

Sounds good. I’ll have to think about some configurations and then I’ll pm you.

I've had both PPE Equal Length Headers and Novel Headers. PPE EL will give you a pretty high pitch but not as raspy as PPE UEL. Novel is a higher pitch than PPE EL and are not as smooth sounding as PPE EL. I've got full novel now and it's just on another level.

I think the pitch of PPE EL would satisfy all but the people who want absolute highest pitch.
