Default Finally some ambient light

Got tired of how dark it was inside, and wanted ambient lights like the Germans. Ordered Aura Opt7 (youtube Bullets Garage) from Amazon.

Easy install. Looks way better now.

Impressive lighting compared to the OEM. I just wish there was a way to have them illuminate when the doors are opened.

Ya, you can. It has built-in wires to connect to the dome light for access lighting and makes the lights go white. It will return to the saved color afterwards. I just didn't bother hooking it up.

How did you run the wires for the rear footwells?

The LED lights connect to a control box, and from the box it goes to either a cigarette lighter plug or fuse adapter to driver's side fuse box. Then tuck all the wires under the center console. I used the plug option so I can switch it off when it's daytime or stopped by cops.

It's got enough wire to run from back to front. Check out the amazon link to see photos of kit.

Thanks man. I watched the video from Bullet’s Garage. I was planning on installing it directly to the fuse box. What side would it be easier to mount the control box? I saw he removed the panel under the glove box which I just tried to do and its easy to remove. What about the 2 rear wires to the foot well? (He didn’t show anything there) Are they thin enough to be tucked without removing any panels? I couldn’t find any videos on how to install it on our GS F. Do you have any videos or DIY links that helped you? Thanks for all your help!

Because I plugged the cigarette lighter into the rear socket, this plug wire was not long enough to go all the way to the driver's side under panel. So I put the control box under the front passenger seat. The reason is because the driver's seat moves forward and back everytime you turn on/off the car and the seat runs against the rear under seat LED wire. So the box and extra wires stay under the front passenger seat because it doesn't move.

I tried to use the center console socket and store the control box inside the storage, but 4 wires had to come out to the lights and this made it look ugly and interfered with the armrest lid.

The install is super easy, no panel to remove. Didn't even have to remove the centre console; all the wires tuck under nicely in the gap.

Why do you want to highlight the crud on the floor?

What about the led for the interior door handle, you could cut one of the led's from the extras you have from the door panel lights.

I probably could, but I didnt because I kind of like the white so the blue doesnt overwhelm everything. And it would require more work to fit the LED into the tight space.

There is a guy in the 4GS forums that used an RGB kit for his door panels, he also did door handles. I'm trying to find out which kit he used:

Cool. See, you gotta try to fit it in there. And the plugs for the front doors are attached to the door, whereas the plugs for the rear doors are attached with the panel. Seems like a lot of work in that tight space, but if there's a will there's a way I guess.
