This isn't news. It's been on this forum for a few years already.

So the 3D plan didn't work so I took a chance on Ebay. The upper grill from Ebay is for a 13-15 GS to GSF conversion. It came with a bumper, upper and lower grill, grill surround and the grills for the coolers. The upper grill fit 99.9% and I'm relieved paying $959 vs over $5k. The only thing I wished was that the lower grill didn't have the license plate holes cut out already but besides that I am very happy.

dang dude that acutally looks good I might do the same thing if I can’t find one I need to find the molding piece for the outside of it also. My car needed a hood and I couldn’t find a hood less than 700$ plus with sanding it and painting it it’ll come out to be like 1100$ so I decided to buy a seibon carbon fiber hood.

I was nervous the whole time but once all the screw holes and tabs lined up I was super happy. I just used the upper and lower grill so the molding and bumper is from my GSF. Now I have a GS bumper, grill surround and 2 cooler grills laying in my garage. .lol.

Is it normal that protecting rubber is showing/ taking this much space

Unhappy has anyone found a viable solution to the 7K$ grille?

Hello, I recently purchased a 2019 Liquid Platinum GSF off auction and was horrified when I saw the price of the front grille assembly. Can anyone please advise what would be a cheaper solution to this? I did a little research before pulling the trigger, and the hood, headlights and bumper cover was reasonably priced. One thing I did not check was the grille assembly, and now that I'm ready to order parts this is definitely going to hurt. I see some people bought the gs350 conversion bumper but I am curious if this would be a simple bolt on installation. This is my first time posting on a thread and I just created the account, so any any insight or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. I look forward to becoming a member of this community and sharing my experiences.

Have the CF part refinished by a competent painter. Way cheaper than buying new. That's where all the cost lies.

Thank you for taking the time to respond. Fortunately, the carbon fiber piece on the bottom is fully intact with all of the clips and such. What I need to replace is the hood, bumper cover, both headlights. grill molding as well as the top and bottom grille. All of the parts except the top grille are reasonably priced and available. Its that dang top one that has me stuck.
