Good lord!!! I’m going to lose my 💩 if I get my headers and they look like that after waiting 14 months for them. Steve at Mod in Japan, said I will have the very first set in the world of the new EL LHD version of Novel headers. Fingers crossed everything comes in looking flawless. I’ll be posting pre install photos and clips of posts install assuming they come in looking good.

Did Novel provide any explanation on why the headers were revised? Was it a design flaw in the old ones? Was the heat from the header damaging something in the engine bay?

Wondering if this was an engineering decision or a cost decision.

I was next on the back order list for the old version and someone had an issue with the headers rubbing. Novel then checked there jig and decided to do a complete redesign. As you can see on the ones pictured above, they have a lot more bends vs cut and welds which should improve the flow. So with a redesign it's a lengthy process to design, build and test.

I bought some revised Novel headers for an IS-F

Please note that these are RHD with cats.

From what I noticed from OG pics

OG: uses more tubing and welds.

Revised: uses donut bends to achieve the tighter bends.

Where I've put question marks ?, I noticed on some OG and revised headers, why have they welded on a straight tube near the collector?
Whereas my revised headers has no welds (in green)?

I have learned my lesson over the years. I don't care what they tell me about demand/supply BS, I will never buy from a manufacturer/supplier that doesn't keep stock. I will never wait months for an item I paid 100% in advance for just because they do not have manufacturing capacity. That is a red flag to me personally. Justify it all you want, I am not convinced with this practice.

If you can afford to manufacture in bulk and stock? Take my money because I know you have a strong financial back.

PPE EL is the way! No issues with fitment, weird designs, and cheaper as well. Sounds amazing and great power..

I get what you're saying, but PPE EL do not sound like Novel. To be clear, I have PPE EL and dual mode exhaust on my ISF, and they are great qualify! But, it does not have the Novel sound, and that's what the extra $$ is for. Whether that's worth it to you, is a very personal question. Trust me, I wish the PPE EL sounded like the Novel high pitch/exotic sound, but they just don't.

Saw in the Community F FB group, someone posted a video following a GSF with full NOVEL setup which sounded great! However, maybe it was just that video but it sounded a bit different than the V1 NOVEL Setup. V2 NOVEL sounded similar to an EL PPE setup. Can anyone confirm if there is a difference in sound between V1 & V2?

The full Novel setup doesn't sound that great IMO, but when you couple the headers with an axle-back like Tanabe, then yes, it sounds orgasmic.

I know exactly which setup you are mentioning, it sounds fantastic in the YT clips. Would love to hear both setups in person. Very curious what NOVEL headers w/ GT Haus mipipe + Stock mufflers would sound like. Anyone run that setup?

Also I find that as many youtube videos you watch and hear on Novel headers, IRL there is the high frequency/high pitched sound that the video does not capture and it sounds amazing!

Makes sense! I still have yet to find someone with a full NOVEL set up in or around PA. Makes it sound similar to a E9X M3 IMO

This was my other F. The meister mid pipe imo drowned out the Novel header sound. Not stock mufflers though.

Still sounds fantastic honestly, sounds like a NASCAR haha. I can see how the headers were drowned but to an extent did you still hear the high pitch?

To those who initially had the NOVEL headers, what made you go Full NOVEL or made you mix & match?
