I pondered many times upgrading to a ‘19 or ‘20 but debated if it was worth the price for that feature and the adjustable suspension.
16' gsf here... same pndering but decided it wasn't worth it ( for me ) no regrets either. The adj suspension is not impressive. The feature i wish I did have was the ability to set up custom drive modes. That's the only item I wish my 16' offered.

Aha.. I just double-checked my car, I do not have that button. It's a blank plate.

Got to be ****ting me. I traded in my 2017 GSF in for a 2020 GSF last november. I'm just now finding out my 2020 does infact have that button. I absolutely LOVED that feature in my 2016 RX350 wow......

Found a relatively high mileage gs f for a decent price at a dealership, but it's not local to me. They sent me pictures today as none are posted. Clean car fax minus a lot of service on tires.. and in the pictures I noticed 3 different tires, and one of the (directional) tires appears to be backwards.
Should I run? Anything specific I should watch for? I'm assuming it'll need 4 new tires at around $1k, and probably brakes too, right?
I've seen mentions of checking Lexus driver. Do you just put in the target vin and look it up?

I know I can see the service history of my car (my wife's gx-460), but how do you look up the history for a vin that isn't yours?

You can add vehicles even if you don't own them. Just enter the VIN.

You really see some interesting things on Lexus drivers that carfax doesn't show. Looked up a 2018 for sale in Orlando that carfax shows no accidents. Towed with right side wheel damage. Owner states was hit from behind. Several other questionable things.

quite handy in stop and go traffic
Next to my GSF, I have a Porsche Macan with a brake hold feature...I'm not a fan. Idk if it's the same with Lexus, but the brake hold causes my rear brake pads to wear down much faster than my front pads. My Porsche mechanic said that each time the car goes from brake hold to acceleration the pad grinds against the rotor so brake wear is accelerated. He apparently sees a lot of Macans coming in only for rear brake jobs.

I would think using the rear brakes for traction control and other stability control features would have a bigger impact than the brake hold..... I could see it being possible though

not sure, but I used the brake hold in the LS460 for years and had no adverse impact in the rear brakes, I know because I changed them..the GSF system is probably similar.

BTW: Does the color of your steering wheel match the color of the seats and what custom wheel do you have (where did you get it from)?

thank you
