Took car in for oil change and dealer wants to buy it
I brought my 2016 GSF in for an oil change this morning. Then I got a VM offer in the evening for almost what I paid for the car over 4 four years ago. Not sure if the GSF is appreciating in value or just simple inflation.

I just stumbled into this thread but glad I did. It's nice to see so many people loving their gsf, I used to have a 2014 gs f sport trim, and always wanted the Gsf!......I finally bit the bullet and purchased a 2020 with 2k miles.....pick it up next week! Super clean 😎 I think I got a descent deal, 75k tax, title out the door. I'll update more pics when I pick it up next week. I still have my 2007 gs for my daily driver and love it, never selling has 91k miles.... Pic is my 2007 and the Gsf I just bought. I'm so stoked!

They have a motivated buyer. Used car prices are silly right now. If you want to sell and have other cars to drive, it might be OK. If you don't want to sell, don't do it. If you don't have another car to drive, all the profit you make on this is getting dumped into the next vehicle because the market is way over priced right now.

Car lift
I do not want to sell the GSF, but my wife would be happy if I sold one of the summer toys and park our dd indoors. Ever since I installed the car lift to prove that we can actually park two cars in the garage and still have room for other junks, she's been dropping hints about making room for the dd.

These are popular cars. I was looking at a used one recently and they are rare to pickup. Still, this car market is absolutely insane right now. I would only sell it if you plan to ride out a year and not buy another car.

Definitely interesting, I have been getting mail from Lexus of Richmond (sucky dealership), saying they will purchase mine / make an offer on the spot. I'm not planning to since I do not have another car and I like this one so much, but I would consider it if you have others and do not need to purchase soon.

I have my 2020 GSF as a garage queen. Just bought it recently. DD a 2020 LX570. With all this being said it has crossed my mind to sell soon to recover and possibly make money on it since its an extra car. However I really love it and I believe that since I am going to keep mine super low mileage she will likely hold most of her value long term.
Do you guys think these cars are worth holding onto long term as "semi collectors"? I have 4k miles and will likely add 1k miles/yr.

its a common story across just about all the dealers right now. Their inventory is stupid low, people are willing to spend the money but they can't sell them anything, so they are trying to at least get good used cars on the lots to offer. I had a buddy with a 5th Gen 4runner in a similar situation. 3 year old car with almost 40k miles on it and they were offfered almost dollar for dollar what they paid for it new. They didn't even take it to the dealer, they reached out to them to make the offer.
