Default Exhaust and brake pads questions!

So I replaced my stock mid pipe. What should I do with it? Keep or sell it for scrap?

Next, I hate how dusty the stock brake pads are. What set would you recommend that’s good on the street and doesn’t put off dust?

I basically gave mine away for cheap like 250$, the whole exhaust + mid. Wife was pissed about pipes laying on basement and i had no space to put it.
I duno if i was ever put it back.
If you have space save, if you want to sell your car.

Arent the secondary cats incorporated into the mid pipes? If so, you might want to hang on to those.
As far as brake dust is concerned, I replaced my OEM with aftermarket ones from Project Mu. Very happy, no dust.

They are. I’m assuming keep them for if I decide to sell the car and in that need to make sure it’s 50 state legal when it comes to emissions?

Regarding the pads… damn that price!! I’m guessing this is the average going rate for good pads on this vehicle?

^^^^The secondary cats in the mid pipes may be worth something.

Correct, which is why I was thinking of selling them. But if there comes a time to sell the vehicle, my guess is I won’t be able to sell it to someone where the delete is illegal?

^^^^I'm in Arizona and had an ISF with full bolt-ons. Had it for ten years. When I sold it I had no issues and got top dollar. My LC also has full FBO. Not an issue for me.

I'd say keep it.

We have toms racing pads for stock replacements, big improvement over stock for performance and dust.

I’m satisfied with the cars current braking capabilities. I’m mainly wanting pads that don’t produce any dust. I don’t wanna pay for performance over stock when I’ll never use it. This vehicle will probably never be tracked because I don’t live near one.

Store the pipes in your attic. You may need it some day.

Apexi resonated. Picked it up on FB marketplace for $500. But afaik, all the vendors on this site have them.

Keep the mid pipe. Had one replaced under warranty via dealer: $4-$5k part.

Project Mu. Low dust. Speedfreaks sells the entire street set for $600. I have 40k miles on one set of pads and have a ton of meat left on them still. I’ve been told Toms pads are low dust but I don’t feel like dropping $800+ on pads for my daily.

Take a look at EBC’s brake pads, especially the Yellow Stuff. They can be had for far cheaper than the other suggestions, and will perform quite similarly to the stock Brembos. If you’re not chasing peak performance, you can get a bit of bang for your buck.

If your Brembos have good meat on them, I may be interested in purchasing them.
