The sensors are good until you get the light for brake pad wear. You can reuse them indefinitely. I only fix the one that's bad. No need to fix something that's not broken.
It works by burning through a wire and creating and open circuit. If you replace the wire, you're back in business. So I just crimp and heat shrink a new piece of wire into the original harness and I'm back in business.
