Engine Bank 2 - All Cylinders Misfiring?
Hey guys - just dropped the GSF off at the dealer. Started having rough idle and the car sounded like garbage. Check engine lights and traction control lights went off / visit your dealer. Figured the spark plugs were finally needing to be replaced (I'm at 69,000 miles).
Anyway, dealer just called and said the technician that usually works on my car said the entire bank 2 is misfiring. Bank 1 is fine. They are saying theres potentially an issue with the injectors but still need more time to diagnose. They haven't ruled out spark plugs but they are telling me it's highly unlikely that it would be spark plugs for one side of the engine. I'll know more tomorrow - but any of you have an idea what's going on? Anyone experience an entire bank misfire?
I'll be honest, after the TVD malfunction last month, I'm starting to think about selling it.

No misfires at all. Almost 100k on the OE sparkplugs (they're overdue according to Lexus but not according to Denso). If a whole bank is misfiring, it's pretty unlikely it's the injectors. It would be something common to the whole bank. Like an O2 sensor, the wideband one on that bank. I wouldn't let them put in new injectors, that's the least likely root cause.

Replace the O2 sensors first.

Dealer just told me bank 2 is running too rich but the plugs look good. They ran the port and direct injection separately and the car was still misfiring. They just told me they are going to need to replace the bank of plugs, the injectors and to get to the port injectors it’s labor intensive. The job is $7,000. I’m talking to them about selling.

I ended up selling the car as-is. The TVD ECU malfunctioned for a second time and I had a hit and run in the same week as the misfire. Just sick of the car at that point as I had no warranty. Tires and brakes were around the corner as well.
The car was sold in less than a week by the dealer. Godspeed to to whoever bought it.
