Default Thinking about buying the Lexus extended warranty - prices?

My 2017 is still under mfr warranty for a month or so.. dealer says he could sell me a Lexus extended warranty but I don't know if it's necessary.

Is it transferrable?

I presume that would be a great selling point if I decide to sell within the next couple of years if it were transferable.

I only have 27k miles on it.. a few things have gone wrong so far - both rear shocks were leaking and my battery needed to be replaced. of course, all of those were warranty items.

Has anyone bought Lexus warranty after buying their GS-F?

I have a GS350 F-sport, not an F unfortunately, and decided to pass on the extended warranty when the CPO was up. A few reasons: 1 - They wanted 5k and it was due up front. 2- If I traded the car in (which i am trying to do) or sell it, then I will have to try to get back the pro-rated portion. Not for me since I rather have the $$ than the hassle.

May be worth it on the F. I started a thread on here and someone sent me a dealership (think it was in Texas) that had better rates if still under warranty. It was within the last few months.

Hope that helps.

I had no problem with adding the warranty on a $50K sports beast. Everything is covered for 3 years/ 36,000 miles and I do believe it is transferable.

thanks a lot.. this was only $2,600 (or a little less).. would give me a total of 8 years and 75k miles (I only have <28k right now as the original 4 years are ending)
