Introduce my GS-F(Shock Question)
Hello everyone.
I'm live in Korea and own 2011's IS-F 6 years.
(2017~2022)
In 6 years, There was no problem. Reliability was also excellent. I got bored and decided to sell it.
I sold the IS-F to a nearby brother and recently brought the GS-F again.
There're few pictures.
Here is my new 2017's GS-F.
The mileage is 10,000 miles.
It has Tom's titanium exhaust and intake.
Yesterday, I put on winter tires and looked at the underside of the car.
All 4 shock absorbers were leaking oil.
I can't believe it's a 10,000 mile car.
It was a Lexus of trust and faith, but it was a big disappointment.
So I'm thinking of replacing the shock absorber.
The genuine part numbers are as follows. (AVS applied model)
I am having trouble with the options below.
1. Replace genuine product as it is
- Seeing oil leaks at 10000 miles broke my trust in durability. reluctant The same problem seems to be repeated.
2. Replace with after shock absorber
- ex) D2, CWS, BC-Racing etc..
- There is not much information.
I want to make durable products such as TEIN and BILSTEIN.
- Since it is an AVS model, I am worried that a warning light will come on after installation.
Since there is a lot of information in overseas forums, I would like to hear the opinions of other GSF owners.
Please help and advice

A few others also reported leaking issue with the AVS suspension. You're definitely not alone.
For me, if I'm doing suspension, I'd go for the KWV3 (they only have the RCF version, but those will fit the GSF as well)

Went for a track day recently and found out driver's rear shocks leaked a bit of oil. Going have to replacement it.
Although oems are not great on the track, but daily is amazing.
any good recommendation for stock feeling shocks, wont mess with the computer settings, and better car control?

If not looking to lower the car, maybe try the 2016 OEM shocks, they have no AVS (like many aftermarket ones) and there's not much much report of leaking (except for some that put on lowering spring). IMO more reliable than the AVS version.

The wife's '16 has over 100k miles and the shocks are not leaking at all.
