Default Trunk Struts, Props, Cylinders...AHHHH

Has anybody been able to find a place to get these other than the dealer? I tried ebay and got escrewed (beware seller dybusiness2, says his props work for our cars but they don't and he won't refund!!). I've spent hours looking through the lifts rack at the local auto parts store and nothing. I tried contacting the NVOconcepts company that has been mentioned in other posts and evidently their phones and email don't work. Is there a Mighty Lift or Strong Arm that kinda sorta works? Thanks!

thanks, i will check it out. few questions

Were they long enough?
Does it make the trunk much lighter to lift up?
Obviously the trunk will not pop up when you release the latch but does it at least pop up 1 inch to get your finger in

Holy crap Batman, they worked! Got them at pepboys for $20 each. They are listed as being for a 86-90 Acura. The passenger side support was siezed on the bolt, so I had to use bolt cutters to get it off and some bolt offs to remove the bolt I rounded. Once the new ones were on I use a paper clip to make sure the eyelet end doesn't slip off. This should be a sticky at the top of the forum. No more having to prop up the trunk with a tennis racket!!! Thanks Canhzx!

Thr trunk opens all the way up when I pull the latch. I don't recall it having done that since we got the car in '97. SWEET!

thats great..... i'm tired of feeling like i'm doing curls whenever i have to open my trunk lol. Had to pry my fingers up under it then heave to get it up. All that rammat i put on isn't helping i guess lol. Can't wait to get these installed tomarrow.

wait does this count as a mod? 89-94 acura trunk strut retrofit? lol

haha, tell me about it. i have i say about 10lbs of raammat on my trunk lid too. and i have to pry my fingers in the little gap to open up the trunk and EVERY time i take my car to the car wash the guys can never figure out how to open my trunk, first the release the switch inside teh car then they take the key to the back of the car and try to open it and they probly think my trunk is broken and when i drive away i get away lines all down my rear bumper. yay no more.

I don't Know about the hood ,But I went through the whole selection at Pepboy's to find these. As far as lifting up a few inch no it does not but it does make the trunk pop up a little .Try it and you'll like it .You have nothing to lose.
