turbo charging a 1st gen gs 300
where's the best site to go to for a turbo kit? Also for anyone that has already has a turbo what's the maintnence, and reliablity like?

Turbonetics makes a kit (I think it might be discontinued), Swift racing technology makes a kit, but requires some modification, XSpower I think makes a kit (Also known as DaveH's supra kit). If you have the money go for the kit, if you dont, then atleast imitate the parts in the kit. Ofcourse putting a turbo on your NA car will shorten it's life over staying NA, however it still can last long if you do things right, dont skimp out on intercoolers, fuel pressure regulators, tranny cooler, headgasket, arp studs and your car will be still be reliable. It is a 2JZ remember?

Dont go with a kit, if you piece together your own stuff, you will get better quality and more power, IMO. And I agree with 'vindedreal' .. DO NOT skimp if you want to keep it reliable.
