Default 93 gs300, its beat up, slowly fixing it

Ok so in january I bought my 93 gs, with no wheels, battery, and a lot of garbage in it, well, my issues are these, I got a bad bumper, my tranny will be garbage soon, gotta replace tie rods, brake calipers, headlights, bumper, window motors, drivers door panel, I need to do major clean up, my hood's bent diagonally, when it's on idle rpms are in between 1 and 0, and a loud clicking/rattling sound comes from where the oil cap is, intake is bouncing around, the supports were broken off, big hole in air box, power steering squeals and only works while in movement, my temperature needle works but it never moves, ball joints and control arms needed, major rust spots all over the front, well, most of this stuff im taking care of in this period of time, as for the rest, I have some questions, dont worry I already got the stupid ones out of my system,

So here it goes:
I wanna swap to manual, I was gonna go with w58 but ive read gears are very long? Which one would you guys recommend? If I swap to the 2jz gte can I still use the same one and will it fit with no problems?

I had an idea at one point which was to make my gs awd, sounds very interesting, can't find anything about it.

the light that indicates that my tailights are out comes on and off all the time, no bulbs are blown, led strip is fine. What does it mean?

i'll post some pictures of the little rolling bucket as soon as I put my computer together.

good luck.

the w58 in good to start off with a 2jzge. if and when you upgrade to a 2jzgte, youll need a r154 or v160.

it looks like you got a beater. you got alot of work ahead of you, so save your pennies before you do any tranny or engine swaps.

I had the same issue with the taillight. mine was the harness. make sure to trace all the wiring that goes to the bulbs.

post some pics and how much you paid.

peace

Im in easton pennsylvania, so im pretty close to de, but I bought the car for 260 dollars, the engine is fine, looks neglected but runs great (the engine) and I should have one picture on my profile, but soon ill put some up, but all im tryna find is a place to get cheaper parts for it, at least a junkyard where im bound to find at least 2 of my car

Honestly for that price I would have bought it too. U-Pull it yards are going to be your best friend. It kinda sucks though because around here I have only seen one 1GS in the yards. Try car-part.com to see if any of the local yards has your car in inventory.

PM me your info if you wanna link up, I'm always down for a junkyard run. I need some interior parts and other minor stuff.

That is a horn (high tone). I guess it is for your factory alarm, mine has one too. It's mounted to the shock tower. You don't need it, or you can find a bolt and put it back.
