Beautiful M sport omaralt. IMO you really can't go wrong with both of these cars. Boils down to personal preference. Don't waste your time on anything else in this class though lol.

I am speaking from 12 years of BMW ownership with my last 4 cars being new BMW's. Back in May i wanted to buy a new 5 Series in the worst way. Over a 2 month period I test drove the 328i, the 335i, the 528i, the and the 535i, both Sport and Standard. In all of these cars I verified what 2012 owners were reporting on the forums. Tip in acceleration anomalies (apparent both in Normal and Sport modes), electronic steering that is devoid of any significant road feel, a lousy Nav System and an audio system that is very mediocre, a hard uncomfortable ride due to the mandatory run-flat tires on all of these models, dated interiors, steering that pulls to the right, a Start/Stop system that is absolutely ridiculous and unsafe, and a battery charging system that requires a Battery Tender hooked up to it unless you are driving 30 miles or more per day, and the inconvenience of numerous software upgrades to correct these problems, some successful and way too many unsuccessful. Simply put, BMW's have lost the handle on "The Ultimate Driving Machine" which has been acknowledged in most of the major car mags. They are, however, probably the best looking cars in their class on the road. I still own my 2008 5-Series and it has been a wonderful car. But it is an E60 which is vastly different than the current F10's. If you're happy with yours that's great. But don't say there are no problems with the "2012's and later models." Read the forums and talk to some owners.

Congrats to both of you guys with the new 5ers. Still doesn't entice me away from my GS F-Sport, but it is hard to go wrong with either car. I think if I were considering BMW I would look at the 3 Series because it is hard to distinguish from the 5 and still drives like a BMW.
Sounds like both of you are excited about your purchases after doing your homework, and that is what counts. Very nice.

I always thought that a more natural comparison for the GS350 was the 535i.
The only reason the 528i is comparable is the similar pricetag. I could see how for a non-enthusiast on a budget, a 528i could be more preferable to a GS350.
Nonetheless, the 528i is IMO the nicest 2L 4 cylinder car on the road at the moment. Congrats to the OP, it's a nice car, just not the nicest car you could have gotten in this segment ( IMO).

Anyway bec of Hurricane Sandy, my parents lost their car and they will take over my lease. I custom ordered a 535i M Sport on Thursday to replace the 528i. That was the car I wanted all along.
BTW if I could get an RWD 350 FSport in the Northeast, then I would be driving a Lexus. I even wrote an email to Lexus corporate about their false advertising.
