Cold Air intake
I have a K&N CAI from my previous 3GS sitting in my garage and today I decided to try fitting on my 4GS. The tube itself fits nicely. However the heat shield requires some modifications but it is doable.

nice job, I knew it would fit , I was gonna get a Is -F sport intake system , but how does it sound , y don't you record it and post it, the only problem, it's gonna suck lots of dirt and heat, since it open. but overall great work.

that looks painful for the GS. if it don't fit don't force it. is it worth fabricating the heat shield??? if you can get it done... and have no problems what so ever,,, then by all means go for it.

I've got mine in my living room, wasnt brakve enough to try it. But, now I may have too.
How is the sound? I know you lose the "sound generator", but that intake had a nice sound of its own.

Yes the growl starts at around 5k rpm. It sounds much louder and better than the stock with sound creator. Under normal driving/cruising, there are no differences.

Nothing is forced/cut/bent or whatsoever on my GS. The heat shield is meant for 3GS but the size and shape works for 4GS also. It's the opening of the heat shield for the cold air pipe needs to be enlarged and also new mounting spots are needed.

how do you plan on enlarging the heat shield??? just asking in case i need to know.
