Default Ran into a GSF today

Hello eveyone,

I'm a long time member, but I never post anything, as I just like to read the informational threads.
I was more involved in the Supraforums previously, and I was a member of the T04R.com for a few years. Before anyone asks me if I didn't mistake it for a "GS F sport," no, I am able to distinguish the difference, as I sold my IS-F late last year.

Well, I was in Torrance-Gardena area driving by an unspecified warehouse when I saw what looked like an ISF coupe fully wrapped in black and white mosaic coming out of a drive way. I decided to quickly park my car and see what it was, but then came out a GS-F in USB. This was a surpise, so I decided to bust a U-turn and chase it down in my super fast Prius. I was able to pull up right next to the driver of the GS-F at a stop light to get his attention and asked if it was the new GSF. He laughed and said he's not sure if he's allowed to say anything. From the 20+ seconds of the encounter I had, I could tell the wheels were 19" mesh (as seen on the grey GSF in nurburgring), had full bucket seats in the front, and had the stacked exhaust outlets. It sounded just like the ISF, confirming the V8. Personally, the wheels looked somewhat plain for the car of that caliber, and it needed to have aggressive offsets.

I failed however on taking any pictures of the car, so I apologize. The covered up coupe also had stacked exhaust, but i really couldn't tell what it was.

Good luck to some of you purchasing this vehicle in the future. It sure was pretty in USB

These drivers were clearly from Lexus. Anyone from LA know that Lexus/Toyota headquarter's in Torrance.

And no, it was not a "modified GS-F sport" and i can also distinguish the difference between a V-6 from a V-8.

" Personally, the wheels looked somewhat plain for the car of that caliber, and it needed to have aggressive offsets" yeah lexus has trouble understanding that some customers notice every little detail. How does a 50k+ car not have power folding mirrors and a power trunk or LED turn signals, how

I'm betting it's set up like a test mule. So many of the features are not final on the car you saw. Such as the wheels, trim panels, etc. but I'm sure this is goin to be a 2015 release with a new set of power trains across the board for Lexus. New RX, maybe NX, 8 speed trannies, and new or larger 3.5L engines.

Try and track him down again and post some pics. Thanks for the post, as it's always fun to hear about this stuff.

Very interesting. Thanks for the news.

Was it a naturally aspirated V8 or was it a boosted V8?

had2t04 is right. It was a blue GS-F with double stacked exhaust and the camouflaged RC-F. I saw these too this morning driving inside TMS USA. I believe it's the same pair that were spied in Japan. That's all I'm going to say.

I 2nd this confirmation ^^. On vacation, had to do a double take in Long Beach when I spotted what looked like a new(er) IS-F from afar. There were 2 guys in it, one had a laptop on his lap which I would assume was hooked into the car. In a (relatives) R8 V10 with AWE exhaust, I switched it into "open" mode and let the engine scream for a second. He in turn obliged and made that thing rumble, and all I can say is DAT **** WAS BADASS.

I hope the GS-F and RC-F are introduced together, that would be awesome for Lexus to reestablish the F lineup as something serious!
