If I figure something out that reduces the noise, I'll post more info.

But if anyone has anything that can hep, please post your comments--thanks!

So you're saying we can just omit steps 1-6? Does the felt go on the inside or outside of garnishes??

Mine makes a noise when i open and close it.... I'm sure I'm in the same boat as most of you... But i think it makes a clicking type sound when i open and close it...... My ES doesn't do this!

So I'll just keep checking CL for the answer.........................Tony

I have the same issue with the sunroof cover, its so annoying. An alternative I chose is to leave it open at all times and limo tint or 20% tint the glass so there wont be so much sun going through.

Here is what I figured out on my car. I do not have a rattle on the sun screen cover (the Henry thread) but I have (or I should say had) the popping sound. I narrowed it down to the front corners of the moon roof. If you open your door and Put one hand on the outside corner of the glass and the other hand on the same corner on the inside and push alternating each hand (with the moon roof closed) you should hear the popping. The cause of the popping sound is a slip stick condition of the rubber seal against the metal frame that It seals against. If you look closely at the metal that the seal seals againt you may even see a line. The rubber seal dries up (especially if you have not been putting rubber conditioner on your seals every time you wash your car) the dried seal gives when you put the force of your hand on it (or hit a bump on the road) as the force increases it reaches a threshold and gives suddenly (the pop sound) since I'm a cheap *** instead of replacing the seal I put a strip of the felt backed with plastic that is used on screen doors. It has a self stick backing (the kind that houseful off a tape and then stick it on) I put it on the metal surface the seal seals to (the line the seal left if yours has it if not dead center of thee sealing surface) I put it from drivers side corner to passengers side corner including the corners. No more popping and less wind noise ( when you have the shade open but the roof closed) to boot.

You need to look at the Henry thread to solve that

I don't think that matters much as it's still pertinent info...it's not like he bumped a four year old sales thread...

hahaha...YOU just bumped a day old thread of an 11 month old dead thread that was making fun a of non-active member for bumping a 4 year old thread to make fun of a guy who made fun of another guy...and the point of that was more of a point then the previous point?

In case you're a little dense, my point was that bumping a technical/support thread isn't necessarily a bad thing...unlike bumping an old sales thread.
