Pandags430 has one. It fit ok but you lose your hood struts. You can always buy a hood prop kit or the fig kit.

Yea, Andy has it. Pretty good quality and fits good too.

The OEM hood struts won't work with this?

Nope. They were designed for a heavier hood. He had a problem of them bending and warping the hood in the hot sun. If I can find a lower strengh hood strut it would work. Thats the only thing thats stopped me from doing this mod

I bet you could have hood strut revalved somhow, maybe by a suspension place or take it apart and try yourself.

Forgive me asking but what are the differences in weight? And yes, I do rememebr the pics of the hood bending.

gamma , i am with you on this one , this is the main reason i have not gone this route for i want hood struts not a piece of metal to hold it up... i also held back on the veilside for that same reason...


i think when the time comes i will do what dee and dr.g did with the cobra hood it just looks mean as hell

I would do it give your car a new look and the price isn't that bad either. No more rock chips in the paint only the fiber.

I think the OEM hood is about 60 lbs and the CF hoods vary from 20 to 30 lbs. Not a huge difference, but a difference nonetheless.

lol ... you gys are crazy.. the blond girl will be at the car show in melbourne to take pics with us..

also... i am workin on different hood struts rtight now.. i wont have it done for the meet but prolly in a month i will have it worked out ... we are testing different struts right now.. the stock ones are hella powerful so if i find one ill keep you updated... BTW i got the veilside not the CF but im assuming the weight is about the same since the VEILSIDE is really light
