Okay, why go 'Staggered' with the rims?

1. It looks a whole lot better
2. RWD cars benefit from staggered setup because of traction and stability reasons.
3. Your GS is designed to fit 10 inches++ of rubber in the back. Why not utilize it?
FYI: The more the engine is mounted towards the rear end, the more significant a staggered setup becomes. Also, some FR cars run an inch smaller rim in the front compared to the back to achieve a more stable rear end.

Staggered gives any RWD car a more aggressive look, and feel for driving, much better traction.. My S500 is staggered as of few months ago, not a sugnificant amount, i could have gone much wider but its still on stock wheels so its 225 upfront and 235 in the back. I plan on having atleast 8" in front and 10" in the back.

It makes the back wheels look so massivel from the rear and you can get a big lip wheel and the rear Attachment 102602

I'm all for the staggered look on my GS, but I won't be putting a staggered setup on my daily driver LS430... I want to be able to rotate tires which you can't do (without flipping which has its own concerns).
Pros
Looks / cosmetic
Looks / cosmetic (IMO so much better I listed it twice )
Potential traction benefits at launch with wider contact patch
Cons
Can't rotate tires resulting in premature tire wear, more $$ over time as you replace tires
Makes finding a matching spare problematic
(minor) Super large lip in rear often means low disk fittment. If you someday decide to do a 4 wheel big brake you may not have clearance in the rear
Another middling approach for costmetics if you want to keep same-sized wheels is to put spacers on the rear wheels to push them out a bit and better fill the wheelwell.

for such a long wheelbased car having a real stagg setup yields a huge amount of stability during spirited driving
you can do 11in in the rear ( i know for my 20" s that are coming by thurs are 20x11) and you can still get about 3.75in lip and clear bbk i know for mine which was custom fitted clear my rotora 4pots and still yields about 3.75in lip with no rim overhang outside the fender
