Smile My custom methanol setup

I bought the coolingmist kit on ebay. It was like $200 shipped. Anyways, I tapped it to the washer tank and my MAP-ECU triggers the pump relay to fire when manifold pressure hits 3PSI. I set it up so the methanol sprays right in the intake manifold. So far so good, I just got new injectors and fuel pump so I'm about to crank up the boost here in a few days. Hopefully everything is still gonna run smoothly

I had to do some ghetto rigging to the stock vacuum line that went to the intake manifold. Pix below

what are you using to monitor the intake air temps? Any kind of adjustments on this so you can actually lean out a bit? I'm running a meth injection on my turbo truck but it was a kit offered by STS.

Well, my intercooler is so damn big that my intake temps are always within 2-3 degrees of the outside air temperature even in the hot Texas summer. I hook up a OBD2 scanner to my laptop and link it to the car when I want to monitor the OEM sensors. I really should install an extra sensor somewhere in the manifold after the methanol spray to get a better idea of how cold it actually gets in there. As for the fuel maps, I tuned it so it starts pulling fuel above 3psi. The MAP-ECU is really easy to tune. Just select a group or cell area and subtract a certain percent and you're done. The MAP-ECU2 actually has 2 separate maps that you can toggle with a switch. That way you can switch between 2 fuel maps and switch it to the no spray fuel map when the methanol tank is empty.

I know a lot of LS1 guys that are running the windshield wiper fluid for meth...what are you using? Straight meth or mixed?
