...had them painted a gunmetal color, so after the paint has a few days to cure they will be on the car!

Wow, that was quick. I think you were telling me about doing this at the Butler Meet, correct? Turned out great. Can't wait to see what they look like on the car. Since you had the wheels painted, your going to wax them properly after the paint cures, right? That'll keep the finish nice and shiny and protected from the elements.

I know I need to do something to keep the shine up. Should I use wax or toyoguard paint sealant?

And should I wait a while before waxing...like a month? Or is that not as necessary on wheels?

Hand applied wax should be fine to do now. I would just stay away from any power tools. I think the wheel specific wax products are over rated and gimmicky. I use Collinite 845 on mine.

EDIT: I forgot to say that your wheels look awesome.

Great improvement over the stock rims.. They should look pretty good against the black...

Mike, thank you for modifying Lexus wheels and not slapping some damn Infiniti wheels on your car.

I can't wait to see them in person.

Liking the Sport Design color. I still have my stock sport design 16" in storage.. not sure if i should sell it. It only has 17K miles and are mint!

I went with the 3GS 18" for my car and added 15MM & 20MM spacers.

Planning to use spacers to push them out? You can probably do more aggressive in the rear due to the smaller tire size of the 17x8.
