Default problem with the trunk

all of the sudden my trunk release button wont work. no clicks or sounds...
i used it the last night and this morning wont work. any ideas what might be the problem?

check battery on your remote control.

check latch mechanism....rod may be disconnected.

is it your release button on the remote or on the dash??? if it is on the dash, do you have the master switch locked???

the thing is when i bought the car the owner lost the keyless so i dont have it. i only have the vallet key and that key doesnt work on the master lock. so the only way i can release the trunk is from the dash. and its not working over night

is it a possibility i could of touched a line in the trunk area while taking out my stuff?

There is a key lock button near your trunk release. If it is pressed in you will not be able to open the trunk without the master key.

If it is not pressed in DON'T press it in.

i have my master key....so even if i push mine i can just unlock it again
