Default SportDesign stereo theme, stretched

Thought I'd play with some paint...came up with this. I wanted the silver to have a matte finish, but the shop used gloss by mistake. Didn't want to wait for 'em to fix it -- I need my defroster back now (friggin' Wisconsin)!

Excuse the lack of ***** for now...they're being redone. Wish I wouldn't have painted those -- if anyone has ***** from a junk stereo they're willing to part with, PM me!

Console: Motorola Razor silver with clear coat
Woodgrain: Krylon Black with clear coat (rattle cans), wetsanded with 2000 grit, polished with Turtle Wax polishing compound, and waxed with Meguiar's Cleaner Wax.
Shifter: IS350

I added an exernal bass control **** in the ashtray and (am replacing) the passenger door lock actuator motor as long as I had everything apart.

I'll take better pics tonight if I get time.

Looks pretty nice! Any shots of the other wood on the doors and some close up of the console?

Very nice! I like it a lot. They also sprayed a clearcoat right? I agree with you that you should not have painted the *****/buttons too. One, there won't be any contrast between silver/black. Secondly, because you will touch it so much, the paint will probably start cracking and peeling and take away from the nice look of center console.

FYI: Since they painted the ***** silver, why not just re-paint it matte/flat black instead of buying new *****/buttons? I don't know if anyone would want to part with just the *****/buttons if they are trying to sell the entire stock unit.
