Nice ride Rob. You get yours painted yet LALEX?? I'm shopping around for a GS4 or a 430 with black interior right now for a work horse/daily driver, Waiting till March/April to buy when the weather clears up. I'd like to buy my old 430 back, but it has the tan interior. It will get the spectra treatment!

Indeed, 2000 was the last year for Spectra Blue, so that means there is no such thing as a GS430 in that color.
When I bought mine in 2003, my friends thought I was crazy for trying to buy a used car in a specific color. To make matters worse, I did not want a tan interior, and I wanted a V8 car - most Spectra Blue cars seem to be GS300s with tan interior.
After a couple of months of searching, I finally found a GS400 with low miles and grey interior one state away. Ironically, it had been ordered through a huge local Lexus dealer not far from me and the original owner had it transported to Arizona (not a big deal since he was the VP of Swift Transportation) when he bought the car new.
Adrian's is indeed a fine example (the BEST example, really), but, like my car, his has been repainted to further customize the look.

I know! I won't wimp out this time. I got the exact car I want so I'm ready. Most likely the middle or end of summer. I would have spectra'd the 430 I had, but it had tan interior and I wanted black interior, plus the Nakamichi. Will post pre-detail pics of the car tomorrow.

And here we go. Bone stock GS400 in near mint condition The car did have a few spots where the top coat got nicked off a bit. But over all the paint is in incredible condition for the year. The interior is in mint condition. I know what you're going to say. It's a shame to strip good paint. But I think it is a shame that all of these aren't spectra. Just my opinion. And it is still going spectra. Can't wait!

I've decided to go through with it. Will have it finished by the end of august. Will post pics. Anybody else have some spectra in the works?
