spacers for stock wheels

Well, I had stock '07 GS430 wheels and they were 18x8 +45. I added 15mm spacers in front and 20mm in back. That brought the wheels to 18x8 +30 front and 18x8 +25 rear. I had 245/40/18 tires and it fit fine. It wasn't flush but did look a TON better than without them. For the stock 2GS wheels, they are 17x8 +50. Personally, if you want to use spacers, I'd do 20mm front and 25mm rear. Remember to get the ones with extended studs or built-in studs. I think whazzzup did 30mm in the front and back with stock wheels before, so it is possible.
P.S. If you want to see what the fitment with spacers on stock Lexus wheels look like, click on the link in my signature.

True. There are several arguments I've read surrounding spacers and increased handling performance. From what I know, there are professional drifters, autoxers, etc. who use spacers to help change the handling characteristics to their preference (less understeer, more understeer? etc.). I've also read that by using spacers and driven hard for a prolonged period, this may cause premature wear and tear on other suspension related components. But I've also read that this actually causes only minimal added wear and tear and is just a common myth. I'm not an expert and I'm not sure which is true, but I know I ran spacers for looks and also it helped me when I got my Supra BBK kit helped clear my stock wheel. So, those two reasons were enough for me to justify running spacers. I don't even push my car hard, so spacers for increased handling was an afterthought. Haha
