Default CG dist. CCFL Halo Projectors Pics/Review/Results

So i've had these in for a couple weeks now and absolutely love them. Drove 1800miles with no issues besides realizing they need to be adjusted which is just turning a 8mm bolt either left or right. They came well packaged in a huge box and within that box they were in two more seperate boxes package individually with a complimentary gift from Ken Madd.

After taking them out of the box I noticed the quality and build were as good as factory. They are a direct replacement, no modifying or wiring required. One reason I chose to go with the CGs projectors because they look close to stock, unless you're a enthusiast you will not know that these are aftermarket headlights. They aren't over done or over the top like alot of sets you see out there. Yes these are IPhone 4 pics sorry guys, excluding the "Before" one.

Before, lights off.

After, Note this is about 10ft away, lights off, not to much of a difference to notice?

When you're practically standing over them you notice the difference,

Sorry the IPhone cam doesn't do them justice, these were also taken in broad daylight. The actual halo illuminates white with a blue hue, you'll see down below.

Note after you install these your day time running lights will be the halos.

I figured i'd post this up, cause there were a few members that were interested and others skeptical of the functionality and quality of after market projectors for the 2GS300. The CG and Spec D brands I would both recommend because the are pretty much made the exact same way with the same quality. Any other make/brands iam not familiar with so I can't vouch for them.

For those who were concerned about poor lighting and projectory:

Note: These are only H7s, not HIDs. In my setup I run white 68 SMD LED bulbs in the fogs also, they are not HIDs either.

Lamps on with CCFLs and Fogs.

Notice the blue illumination coming from the CCFLs, this is really impressive because sitting from inside the car, if directly infront of you is the 12oclock direction, you can see the faint blue lum from 9oclock all the way to the 3. It really is awesome and puts a smile on my face.

+High Beams

Absolutely thrilled, with this setup. I purchased them from the guys at "Racerinnovation", they have an Ebay store. I spent $194 for the lamps and about $20 shipping and handling. If you'd like to know more about the manufacturer they have there own website http://www.cgdistribution.com/about.html. Also I'd like to make a reference for those looking into replacing there headlights this is the DIY I used https://www.clublexus.com/forums/gs-...-blinkers.html.

Feel free to ask any questions, and thanks again!

Looks good man! I guess this brand is better than what others have been getting. I do know everyone else buys them off of eBay, but -shrug- maybe these are built better. They seem to be decent. I've never seen anyone else light output from theirs. Make sure you keep us posted from month to month if they're still holding up etc..

Congrats on the buy man, they look decent and seem to have decent output. Not as wide as LS projectors, but still decent nonetheless.

You think you could get a pic also of you pointing it into a dark empty parking lot? So we can see how far ahead it goes from the car also.

EDIT: Also maybe a daytime pic when it's not raining of the headlights on/off? Kind of hard to tell to see the headlights with all the rain on them. Just a thought.

Thanks man! Intially I was looking for a dark area, drove around for like 15mins but I live on a military post so I had no luck. The I phone wouldn't have helped much anyways though ie, with the lamp on in my room it'll show pitch black. I plan on getting a Nikon D3100 after my car gets resprayed though. My exterior lighting is finished except for replacing the fogs cuz one has a crack. Next is tint and putting my touch screen in the dash but once everything comes together ill take some real pics.

Thanks again!

No I noticed that also. Seems to be flat on the left side then in transition to the right it starts to hump up like a hill.

Your pictures proved my point in your other thread. The beam pattern is not good at all. Look at the horrible "cutoff" line and the multiple hot spots on the ground. Furthermore, look how narrow your beam pattern is and the bad GLARE, I would flash you too! I'm glad that you are happy with your set up because it is your money and you like these headlights, but please don't compare these to any OEM set up. If you would like to see a great cut off, just search one the many retro threads on here or check out HIDPlanet buddy.

After looking at these pictures, I still stand by my original statement.

Yes the driver side needs to be adjusted higher. Just haven't done it yet cause its really not noticeable on the road wile driving.

Lmao ok man i'll have to raise that left side then, thanks.

The beam is narrow cuz this only about 10ft in front of the car. If I took a IPhone pic with factory lamps they would look like garbage too.

Yeah, remember the first three times I said I got flashed because they came out the box adjusted too high. Well Idjusted them hastely and haven't had a problem since.

And thanks iam happy with my setup! People in realife tend to like them to. We (co-workers & friends in my squadron) usually pullout and head to PT around 5:45 in the morning when its still dark out, and these have been the same individuals that have complimented on them. I usually ask do they seem toobright and the only responses i've gotten were "no not at all" or "no man they're fine". One of thesecoworkers drive a Z06 with about $15k invested and knows his s*#t so It was cool to see he was impressed by my little mod. I appreciate the constructive critism though, thanks again!

These are the worst lights you can ever get..You could have searched for reference. I actually gave mine away, other choice would have been in the garbage.

Cut off is not optimal.., youl notice that the angle of right cut off is too steep. It WILL glare into the cars to your right unless you completely lower them. Good thing your not in NY cause this would not be a Healthy Situation.
I have taken these apart and can tell you first hand GARBAGE. The seals dont last, they will fog, With the addition of not belonging on the GS, the halos will stop working..It doesnt matter which company you get them from they are all pretty much the same.

Not worth ANY money..OEM HID bowl Swap or Full retro...

Damn dude, sorry you had a bad experience with them. I'm loving them right now, but I still have my factories if I ever get tired of'em or if they go bad.
