i don't think you searched "for hours" or even at all... if you did you would have found these:
searching "Remove steering wheel"
took me longer to make this post than it did to find the threads below.

Hey bud, which gen GS are you doing this too? Im assuming 2nd gen. If so I just did it today. I had to replace my clock spring. I disconnected the battery 1st because I didn't feel like doing something stupid and having the airbag blow up in my face. If it is a 2nd gen the just remove the 2 screws on the left and right side of the wheel. Then slide out the airbag slowly. There will be a plug that you need to disconnect. once that is off you can remove the nut that holds the wheel on. Sometimes the wheel is a pain in the butt to get off and people tend to beat the heck out of it with a mallet or or hammer. No need for that. Just pull on the top and then on the bottom with some force and keep on doing it like that and it will eventually slide off. Once it is off you have your clock spring behind it. be careful with that. That one part cost me 85 bucks. You can only turn it so many times to the left and right before you tear up the wire ribbon inside of it. The clock spring helps make the connection for you air, bag, horn, and cruise control. Once those are removed you can install you hub and wheel. Sorry for the long post.but I hope This helps you if you haven't already removed it.
