HID 6k fog lights installed
Just got back from getting my fog lights upgraded to 6k HID lamps. Ill try and have some pics taken tonight.
Must say good thing I didn't listen to the sales guy and get the 8k. The 6k is very blue. Since its daylight right now, I cant tell how bright they are, but they look dim because of the color. We'll see.
Hurry up and get dark already.

Following are pics. Most shots are 95% of what it looks like. sorry they are small.
On the road, it seems like all around the front of my car is lighted well. Far away made no difference (I need to adjust my regular light more).
After seeing them at night, they look white/blue. Not dark blue like the 8k. So I think these are ok. One thing I do notice is that they are a big difference in color to my regular lights.
I got them locally. $450 installed. Around $175 after taxes.
About $350 for the lights and $100 for them to do the hassle. About 1.25hrs of waiting.

Perfect example. You can see my regular lights and fog lights on. The fogs are a tad more blue. just a tad. The garage door is yellow so it makes my normal lights look more yellow.
Btw, you can't tell in the pic but the passenger fog cut-off is about an 1.5-2in shorter than my driver side. Not sure if its meant to be that way or not. Someone said there was adjustments on the fog, but since I didnt put them up, I don't know.
So what do you think?

Much better than stock but a little too blue for my taste. I know it has been said that it's impossible to match the factory xenon lights but based on what you see, what do you think is a closer temp match? Are they significantly brighter than stock? The factory fogs are useless IMO.

oh yes. I can SEE the difference from stock fog to this. This light is useable. Its blue, but not blue..
I can live with it. I wonder what it'll look like if my factory HID was replaced with 6k also...
I think if you want stock match, get the 4.3-4.5k HIDs for the fogs. My regular HID is too yellow for my taste.

very nice.
me likey!
I have the 6000K xenondepot's for my fogs.
I love them. Mine are an actual purpleish color but it's 101% better, if that's even possible.
I turn on "just" my lows and I can see fine, very nice look from inside and out, but then I turn on my fogs, and everything is much much more crisper. The fog purpleish color adds a crips definition to objects.
Take some picks at nice star.
I'll post my projection at night sometime. You've probably seen the head on I've posted before of mine.
