Force Eject Hybrid Nav DVD
I accidentally left a bad hybrid DVD in the drive while pulling the navigation system fuse. Now the system does not boot and displays an error message specifying to consult the dealer. The menu for ejecting the DVD is no longer available. Does anyone know how force eject the DVD from the drive? Your help is much appreciated!

I have no idea how to eject it. but I was wondering which model Lexus is this from? Do you have the ML Nav system and which fuse # from which panel/box is it? I'm still trying to get the hybrid dvd in without disconnecting the battery.

EDIT: forgot to ask you what model Lexus you have. as some models have different fuses in different areas.

it's actually a different firmware I believe now. you would need to create a hybrid DVD for that "trick" to work. I'm still trying to get mine to work

Any of you get the hybrid disc to work? I get the "can not find program, please consult dealer" message when I pull the fuse and inject the hybrid map dvd.

fyi I was able to get a dvd 6 hybrid to work easily a couple of years ago but was never able to get a 7 or 8 hybrid to work. the type of blank dvd, burner and software is important but not the issue in my case. those variables are easy to eliminate by burning just a straight legit backup copy of the original. if the backup works, all the equipment etc is fine.
some members claim to have been successful with a 7 hybrid. many others could not get it to work. there are many many threads on that. assuming the mixed results, there are so many variables it's hard to sort out. i have gen 4 system, others gen 5, various versions of firmware that have been loaded in various cars before a hybrid was tried etc. good luck
