it was fairly uneventful, took only 15-20 minutes (requested they do not wash my car). the only amusing thing was that after kim (service rep) drove my car into the mechanics bay, all the mechanics swooped over to check out my ride...apparently they've never seen a lowered 450h with 20" work wheels before! kim said when she came out, "they like your wheels." LOL!

i can understand the mechanics reaction, there are very few GSs running around in our city (mostly IS250/300/350 and RX300/330). a modified GS is even more rare. anybody have similar experiences when you take your modified ride to the dealer?

 

you can imagine my gs400, sc430, ls460l, and gs350

honestly, it gets a bit painful sometimes when you can't leave the dealerships coz' people keep on asking questions

 

1,600 KM? That's about 900-1000 miles, right? Why did you bring it in? GS is not due for the first maintenance until 5,000 miles. I hope you didn't have oil changed at 1,000. That would be bad for your car.

 

no, not oil change. it's the complimentary check up to see that your car is OK, change any personal settings, etc, etc. my oil change will be done in may

 

actually for US spec cars you also get 1000 (or 1500 i forgot) mil checkup free as well on top of 5000 mile service. at 1000 miles they check all fluids and such to make sure they are good, no leak, and see if you have any problem. your dealership should call you for that, i got that for both my gs350 and ls460l, though i kindly declined. if you didn't get it, then your dealership is doing a poor job
