Got my Lexus Japan illuminated door sills installed!
Took her into the dealer and they got the job done in 1 hour. Holes had to be drilled to get the wires through. But I must admit, they didn't even bother reading the japanese instruction manual... they knew the drill and got the job done!
I really like how they came out! They really look classy in real life, pics don't to them justice at all!
Thanks to member JKashat for selling me these and having them shipped immediately! Stand up guy!
My set will be here tomorrow, from Japan. I'll take it in early next week. My dealer quoted me 2 hours (that's all I'm paying for, regardless of how long it takes them). Definitely one of the better mods that can be done. Kudos to your dealer for getting it done quickly!
All 4 are illuminated. I can't tell if they only come on when the door is open, I think they do. But they are also illuminated when the car's headlights are off as well. I think they're connected to the interior lights of the car. I think.
Looks nice. Does everything work independently or did they wire the F&R together so if either door opens, both come on for that side?
If they wired them correctly, they should be independent.

No, the fronts are not the same. I ordered one front piece to hopefully replace the one I damaged, but they are totally different. Yes, the rears light up as well.

They should be connected to the dome light. Each door triggers it's own dome light, thus, if they are correctly wired, only the door that is open will light up. A good way to test this is to open the front door and back door on one side and manually push the rubber dome light trigger on the door jam and see if that light goes out.

It doesn't take months. I called Luis at Carson Toyota late August and got them today.
