Default finally some pics of my gs300 AWD and a new member!! :P

hello everyone! my name is Red. im from the windy city, Chicago!!!!

so i used to have a 2011 Scion TC. i got it right when it came out. i was actually the second one in the chicago area to get the car. got it in october of 2010. but the whole 2 door thing was not doing it for me anymore. (had a Celica for 5 years before the tC)
so i ended up getting a 2006 Lexus GS300 AWD..

here's some pics of the Scion...

here's one next to my buddy's Honda Fit..

now for the GS
Stock!!!!

then goodies started to come in... 19" Varrstoen 112 19x9.5 19x11 235/35 and 275/30

ugly without a drop!!!!

then more goodies in the mail... Megan racing EZ coil overs...

next to a 1000HP trans am...

that's my step dad's LS. we're a toyota/lexus family. my 2 step brothers have an RX330 and a GX470 and my sister has a Rav4....

well, thats it for now... more pics to come. my car will be on a car show tomorrow here in chicago. so there's gonna be a lot of pictures taken from that... hope you guys like what i got going so far... of course, this is just a start. more to come...

it's definitely there. i feel the wobble accelerating from a stop and a slight vibration when coasting down (foot off the accelerator and not on the brakes). i dont mind it too much so it doesnt bother me.

thanks btw!!!

I saw a front pass side fender flared out a lil where it meets front bumper, is it rubbing pretty bad? What offsets are your wheels.

i had the shop that installed the coil overs to roll and pull the fenders as necessary so they dont rub... i need spacers for the front to poke the wheel more. the offsets are +22 for the front and +25 for the rear...

yeah i went to the show knowing im not taking any trophies home. i was registered on the show as part of my friend's company. he has a booth setup at the show and had my car on there for support. (you cant just have a tent without cars at a car show). i'll try to get some photos here soon from the show...

thanks guys! there were not a lot of lexus' out at the show but the ones that were there were pretty nice.

i do have a question, im thinking of getting an exhaust for the car something that sounds good, but not too loud. before i get an exhaust, i like to do my research. so i go on to the ever so reliable youtube to look up videos to see how a certain exhaust sound like. if i look up gs300 (which is what i have), all the results i get is for the second gen GS. only way to get third gen GS is to search GS350. now my question is, considering the GS300 and GS350 have the same engine, just different displacement, would the exhaust sound the same between the two? what i mean is if a gs350 had the same exact exhaust setup as a gs300, would it sound the same?

I just purchased a 06' GS430 with a Tanabe Medallion Touring exhaust installed on it and though it is a different engine (so obviously will sound different on a GS300) but I love how it sounds. Just deep enough of a growl when you start it up but still quiet enough that its not annoying while cruising. Matter of fact it was so quiet the previous owner removed the resonator to bring out a little more sound.
