My 2008 Lexus GS460 in Matador Red Mica
I've just recently picked up this GS460! I've owned 4 Lexus, a couple of LS400's and most recently 2 GS's, a 99 GS400 and an 01 GS430.
I was thinking of eventually going to a 3rd gen GS350, GS430 or GS460, maybe next year, but I decided to go ahead and get this one. I like the V8, strong power and a nice sound. And I have been until now, a BlueTooth virgin..lol. Pretty big jump in technology from a 2001 to a 2008!

I was opposed to the dark graphite because I thought it was more black, when I saw this one, i really do like the interior color. Before now I had preferred the tan, and even the light gray because it had the blackwood trim.
Thank you!
Thanks! I've been on here a long time, but it's my first post in 3Gen GS!

Congrats. I also just picked up an 09 Mica Red GS 460. My question is are you having paint issues. With this being my 5th lexus, I am stunned at the chips and scratches I am getting. I knew the newer paint was "softer" than my older cars but it seems that everytime I turn around I am getting new chips and scratches.
Is there any reasonable way to save the paint?
Thanks

Designo..I'm keeping it very stock for now. I have a few classic hot rods that I tinker with so they satisfy my urge to modify. First thing I do need is some tires, going to go with Goodyear Eagle GTs. Car has runflats but I'm going to have a compact spare in the trunk.
Texbanc.. i can't report yet on paint, so far mine has reasonable wear n tear for 48k, there are some chips on the leading area of the hood, but overall looks nice to me.

congrats and nice to see another GS460 buyer. I had an 03 GS430 and feel the seats were more comfortable in that car. Definitely like the new electronics and styling upgrade of the 3GS.

Thanks for the compliments. I bought the car on balding runflats, but the dealer gave me a mini spare since the car didn't have one as built. I got new 245/40-18 Goodyears (non runflats) ordered from the TireRack and put on by NTB. The car rides and drives great.
Ditching the styrofoam filler that's installed on new cars equipped w/ runflats, I ordered up the items needed to put a mini spare in the car. The holddown, 3 rubber bumpers and a foam filler that goes in at the back of the trunk. If anyone needs the part numbers, see the pic.
